Half life guard duty

It strikes me as odd that members of the public have no idea the amount of training we do, the responsibility we have or what duties we perform.

Lifeguards are viewed as protectors, knowledgeable, lifesavers and upstanding members of the community. As I sit and sip wine after a very busy day at work I have come up with some fairly interesting views on Life Guarding in general.
